This spectacular one bedroom is just one of the apartments in the Poetry Building that we own and manage. It measures over 720 square feet. Step through the threshold of this 100-year-old French boutique mansion of the belle epoque, into a world that combines the best of historical architecture with the efficiency of new technology. Walk through the spacious lobby/reception area, past the interior fountain, and into the beautiful apartment with private patio and garden. It is located on the ground floor and 'contra frente,' away from the hubbub of the city. To the front of the apartment, French doors open to wrought iron railings overlooking the interior fountain. To the back, custom-made iron and glass doors usher you into the unique outdoor living and dining space featuring Spanish tiles and abundant vegetation. It is professionally furnished and decorated with modern elegance alongside charming antique touches. It is fully equipped with a Phillips flat screen television, Philips DVD player, as well as a personal stereo for your best home away from home experience. The bedroom is extremely quiet and private. The mattress is a Simmons 5 star Beautyrest for sleeping comfort. There is a full bathroom off set from the bedroom and a separate toilet off of the living area. Additionally the couch folds out into a sleeper bed can be extended for extra guests. The kitchen has a beautiful granite countertop and is fully equipped with a full-sized refrigerator, microwave, oven, 4 burner stove and all the accompanying equipment you would have at home. The dining room comes with seating for 6 guests. NEIGHBORHOOD/LOCATION Recoleta is Buenos Aires’ most safe, elegant and architecturally significant neighborhood, centrally located between historical San Telmo and up and coming Palermo. BUILDING You will be choosing not only to stay in a beautiful apartment but you will have the use of a stunning building and it's luxuries. It is firmly rooted in Argentina's history as the former mansion of one of it’s most revered and famous families, Familia Peralta Ramos. The original elegance and charm of the building has been left intact, while we have fashioned the interior to not only meet, but surpass modern demands. Timeless elements such as the original building facade, old patio and grand entrance remain intact. Suites within the building are suited with Phillips flat screen televisions, Phillips DVD players, and stereo systems including iPods with a full library of music for your enjoyment. Hi-speed WI-FI runs throughout each of the buildings apartments and covers its shared common spaces which include a large open reception area as well as an outdoor terrace with dipping pool, outdoor shower & sun lounge chairs. We have an office on the ground floor of the building with bi-lingual staff. We also manage several other units for rent. Please inquire. BOOKING AND CANCELLATION POLICY If your dates are available, you can reserve them with a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Diners, or American Express)., Paypal, or U.S. bank deposit. We ask for the total rent to be paid upon check in. You can pay in cash OR with credit card / Paypal ,/ U.S. bank deposit plus a 5% surcharge. We have a minimum stay of 2 consecutive nights. Prices quoted are for up to 2 people. Additional guests (up to 2) are $20 each per night. This does not include children under the age of 2. Our multi-lingual concierge and property management office is located on the ground floor and we are there every day of the week to answer any general questions you have, give you recommendations on activities inside the city, make reservations, and help you with any issues that may arise during your stay with us.
