Property Description

Podere San Giuseppe is a completely renovated 17th-century farmhouse managed by my family.

It is surrounded by nature among fields of wheat, sunflowers and centuries-old olive trees.

Podere San Giuseppe is a luxury B&B on the border between Umbria and Tuscany, it is located in Petrignano del lago, a hamlet of Castiglione del lago which is 10km away from Lake Trasimeno.

From here you can reach wonderful villages including Cortona at 18km, Montepulciano 18km, Val d'Orcia at 35km, also connected to places of interest including Perugia at 35km, Siena 60km, Arezzo 45km.

It can be reached thanks to the Perugia Sant'Egidio airport at 1 hour and 30 minutes or with the Terontola-Cortona or Castiglione del Lago railway lines.

The car is recommended for getting around and to enjoy the area.

To its guests it offers the use of the swimming pool, billiard room, library, beautiful open spaces in the midst of nature and animals including horses.

Rates include continental breakfast with homemade desserts, tea, coffee, local cheeses, fruit juices... 

You can practice trekking, paid bicycle rental nearby (10km) and horseback riding at an authorized equestrian center (10km).

Nearby there are restaurants at 1km, food at 3km, pharmacy at 4km.

Visits to cellars and agricultural companies can be booked.

(The rooms available to guests are all air-conditioned, underfloor heating, with attention to the smallest details with internal fireplace, bathroom for exclusive use (red room bathroom with tub outside the room but for exclusive use). Green room with lake view with internal bathroom with shower.

The beds are double, a single bed for children can be added in each room, or a cot with a supplement in the price.

The rooms are equipped with a minibar (for a fee), coffee machine, tea kettle, we provide (linens, towels, pool towels, toilet paper, shampoo, soaps, hairdryer).

Dogs are allowed in the structure with a supplement of €20.00 for the entire stay.

The city tax is €1.00 per night per person.

Children from 0 to 3 years are free, from 4-10 they pay a supplement of €90.00 for the cot per night. Children up to 14 years do not pay the tourist tax. From 10 to 18 if they sleep on a cot in the room with their parents they pay half the cost of the room because they are considered adults.

Check-in is from 14.00 to 16.30 and check-out is from 7.00 to 10.00. Please communicate your arrival at the facility.

The swimming pool is open from May 20, 2023 to October 1, 2023
