A former farmhouse in spectacular setting with view over the Breidafjordur Bay and to the Westfjords.  Renovated with design by Architects Studio Bua. Ideal for nature lovers preferring remote  and quiet surroundings. For max 10 people. The main house is divided vertically in two volumes with the original living quarters to the south and a barn for hay storage to the North. An additional floor incerted into the barn to create a raised event space with a series of new openings capturing views to the mountains and the fjord. Driftwood, salvaged from a beach in Strandir North, has been used as columns to support the new floor, staircases between floors. Steel handrails, timber doors and beams which have been salvaged from building sites in Reykjavik old town. Three rooms with private bathrooms, plus two small rooms with a shared bath room. Two beds in each room (double or single at your choice), full bedding. Cooking facilities, a shared living/dining space. An exhibition space, with contemporary art or design on display.
