The apartment is comprised of a private sauna, a stunning bathroom with shower and hair dryer, as well as central heating via the underfloor heating. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, washing machine and dishwasher. It is only 200 metres from the pedestrianised area and 100 metres away from the Roveniemi 'Santa Claus' stadium. Here we are in amongst streets ideal for shopping, a few metres from the shopping centre, bars and restaurants, supermarkets, a pharmacy, a bank, a bistro and a bakery. All the major shops are close by. To make sure you have a lovely stay you can make the most of the living area and a flat-screen TV. This peaceful, no smoking apartment has a dining room table, a private balcony and wireless internet connection (for a fee). Lift positioned inside the house. Rovaniemi train station is 15 minutes away by foot. Santa Claus town, Santa Claus park and Rovaniemi airport are all a 10 minute drive from the apartment. Here we are in the top shopping district, a few metres from the shopping centre, bars and restaurants, supermarkets, a pharmacy, a bank, a bistro, a bakery and the taxi rank. All the major shops are close by. The apartment is easily accessible. From Roveniemi airport it is only 15 minutes by taxi or 20-30 minutes using an airport taxi. For more information please visit their website. The taxi departs for your holiday home from Rovakatu street (some 200 m. from the airport). To go on trips or sledge rides with Huskey dogs or reindeer, for example, you can find many tour operators in the immediacies of the house, or in the streets around Pekankatu (400 m away), that offer trips and guided visits. Car rental companies, such as Sixt (for more information please visit their website), can be found at the airport, next to the train station or in the city centre close to our apartment block. The taxis in Rovaniemi run 24/7. The nearest taxi rank is only 200 m by foot from the residence. Please contact taxis by telephone (for more information please visit their website). You can go to all the major tourist attractions by public bus in the areas around Rovaniemi. For example, Santa Claus park, the Arctic golf course, the ski arena... everywhere really. Visit their websites to find out more. There are two bus stops in Rovakatu Street (one 200 m and the other 500 m from the station) and another in Ruokasenkatu Street next to your holiday rental. The Rovaniemi public transport network runs very well. Breakfast: Breakfast is served in the nearby hotels, bakeries and cafés. House rules: No smoking. You should abide by the house rules especially in keeping noise to a minumum after 10 pm. Late arrivals If your arrival is delayed the following charges shall apply: -Until 7 pm: no charge. -From 7 to 10 pm: €20. -After 10 pm: €40. -After midnight: €50. These are necessary as someone will need to come to the house out of hours in order to greet you and hand over the keys. The money needs to be paid in cash to the person who receives you. If you want to avoid the extra cost, we can arrange for the keys to be left in at the entrance to the building. This is an additional option. We would then give you a 4 digit code to open the key box. You can then proceed directly to the apartment, which is called 'Vik & Celi'. It is very easy to reach. The following morning between 10am and midday we will come to welcome you to your apartment. Arrival and notice to check-in Before your arrival you should let us know what time you will enter the apartment. Then we will send you the telephone number and all the necessary information of the person who will receive you to hand over the keys. Please make sure to ring this number when you land or arrive in Rovaniemi. If you do not call we cannot send someone to greet you. If your arrival is delayed for any reason it is very important for you to call us. Please arrive at the apartment at the prearranged time. Note that for every hour you are delayed we have to charge €20 (please pay the person who greets you). We make use of professional cleaning and a check-in regester, therefore we need to be transparent about the house rules, so that the work and time of others is respected.
